Wow! No Wallace. They were pretty darn good at camp. Big and fast. I'll have to look into what happend to them. I thought for sure they would make the play-offs.

OOPS!!!! Sorry, here is Idaho's Division 1 for the bigger schools. Wallace & Lakeside (Plummer/Worley) have about 160 kids in 9-12. Wallace is good --beat Kootenai by about 40 pts. Mullan has 44 kids (9-12) , Clark Fork and Kootenai have around 100 kids (9-12) and play in the smaller division. www.idhsaa.org/sports/football/brackets/1011/1AD1ftbll.htmClick on the link above for the updated version

If you are interested--here is the Idaho football classification break down: I was a teacher, basketball & football coach at Kootenai from 66-68. Great school, with some talented athletes. School is located about halfway between Harrison and St. Maries, up in the wheat fields. www.idhsaa.org/geninfo/FbBBVB_Align.pdf

My wife's Uncle and Aunt live in St. Maries. I have never been there though. My Father-in-law and his brothers played at Wallace in the 60's.

Wallace was a much bigger school (enrollment) back in the 60's. Once the mines went down people started to move away. Same for Kellogg & Mullan. Those hard rock miners were a tough bunch.
St. Maries is a nice town to live in. Right near the St. Joe and St. Maries Rivers. I enjoyed living in North Idaho.

I've been told to make a correction- my father-in-law and his brothers played for Mullan not Wallace. Ooops.

So he was a Tiger and not a Miner.......... What year did your father-in-law & his brother play for The Mullan Tiger's ?
They have one nice gym with an Olympic size swimming pool in the bottom level, which you can see from the lobby.
