After recent controversy, the chainsaw is still uniting the Wishkah Valley at home football games, even though the WIAA has spoken, and the issue is under appeal........Chime in

they need to mind their own business and leave it in the hands of the league to decide such issues....I personally dont see any issue with it, but then again I dont mind any type of noise I always thought it was "part of the game"

Our old league (Blue Mountain) had a rule against it. Yet, that's such a distinctive, "Wishkah thing" that personally, I think it should be allowed. And I TOTALLY agree that the WIAA needs to butt the bleep out.

My thoughts are that artificial noise makers should be allowed. As long as they aren't pumped over the P.A. system as they do at Seahawk games. ;D

People at Selkirk still talk about the night Reardan brought their cannon. THE NIGHT BEFORE DEER SEASON OPENED! Seems all the bucks ran to Salmo or Cusick.

Personally I hate hearing the dang thing, because it usually means my team just gave up a touchdown. It's something that is creative and unique to the WV, and is a source of pride for the kids and fans. I see it as a motivator for both teams in that WV kids wanna be rewarded with the chainsaw after a well earned TD and the opponents wanna do everything in their power to keep it from going off.
I've been to many WV home games and the folks who run it only run it briefly after touchdowns (and PATs). If they were starting it up after every big play, or at inappropriate times in the game THEN it could be a problem. I see nothing wrong with what they are doing.
